I never paint avians for some reason and I've always liked raptors and corvids a lot. This is a little (5"x7") acrylic falcon on paper.

I really love this! Hurruh for more avian critters. You handled the acrylics well, did you water them down for washes like you handle your other media? Seems very translucent and layered here.

Yep, I use soft-bodies acrylics, which you can work with like watercolors or use thicker for a semi-opaque effect. Kind of like goauche, but without the weird chalky finish.
